Book Review Policy

While I love to read and will read anything under the sun, I do have some limitations as to what I will/will not review.

What I love to read/review:

Young Adult

New Adult

 Dystopian

 Steampunk

 Romance (all kinds including BDSM)

Fantasy (any kind)

Paranormal

 Horror

Mystery

Women’s Lit

What I don’t like/won’t review:

Self Help

 DIY

 Reference

Political books

Nonfiction

 Religion

 Cookbooks

My review policy:

I give honest, unbiased reviews of all books that I choose to review. Which means, sometimes, feelings will be hurt and authors/publishers will try to get me to change my reviews. Asking me to make my 1-star review of your book into a 5-star review is sketchy and it won’t happen. Also, asking me to change my review on Goodreads and Amazon isn’t going to happen either. Asking me to change a review will immediately put an author on my blacklist.

How to reach me:

Contacting me through my contact form is preferable. Now, it might take me a day or two to get back to you if you decide that you want me to review your book. I have 3 kids and all the craziness that comes with a tween, an elementary aged kid, and a toddler. So don’t worry if you filled out the contact form, I will get in contact with you, I promise.

My review’s content:

I have the cover of the book with the author, title, publisher, date of publication, genre, POV, number of pages, if the book is part of a series with links to the other books in the series and with links to the reviews I have done of the other books, where you can find the book to buy and the book’s synopsis taken from Goodreads, if it’s available. If it isn’t, I will take it from Amazon.

My review itself consists of me reviewing the content of the book. I will give my views on the plotline, the characters (main and secondary) and if the book is true to its genre. I mainly review ARC’s so for me to review a book and include grammar, spelling, sentence structure wouldn’t really work and to be honest, wouldn’t be doing the author/publisher any favors since ARC’s are usually unedited.

The ending of the review, I give a star rating (1-5 with 5 being that I loved it and 1 being that I hated it), why I gave it that rating,  if I will recommend, if I will reread, age range and an explanation of why I chose that (age range for me are Child, Young Teen, Older Teen, and Adult).

Where I post my reviews:

I post my reviews on Goodreads, Barnes and Noble (if the book is available there) and Amazon. Sometimes Kobo.

So, if you haven’t been scared off by this, drop me a line. I would love to review your book!!!
