I’m Jolie and I am a bookworm.
I always have my Kindle on me. Always. I am that annoying person who pulls it out at the Dr’s office to get in a couple of paragraphs before she’s called back. Yeah, it’s kind of addiction.
I have blogged since 2009/2010 (can’t remember). I have done books reviews since I started blogging. I figured, “Hey, I like reading and I like blogging so let’s combine the two”. I was on Blogger until about 4 years ago when I made the switch to WordPress. And I have been here ever since.
I didn’t seriously start blogging until 2015 when I got involved with product reviews. At that point, I was still doing book reviews without the permission of the author….lol. I started doing more book reviews through Tomoson (yes, I admit I used them) and started getting away from product reviews. In 2016, I decided to stop doing product reviews entirely and just do book reviews. I stumbled upon NetGalley (can’t remember where I found out about that site) and the rest is history.
Besides being a bookworm, I am also a mother. I have 3 kids who try their best to drive me crazy. They are 11, 9 and 3. Yes, I know the age differences between my older two and my youngest. She was a **happy** surprise.
I am also a gamer. I have played World of Warcraft since 2006. For the Alliance….lol. I also play Sims 4. Yup, I am a Simmer.
I cook and bake too. I have a personal goal of learning 2 new recipes a week. This week, it’s a chicken, pasta, and pepper bake and a bread pudding. The hardest dish that I have made was probably the homemade chicken and basil soup. I didn’t have a dutch oven at the time and used a stock pan to make it. Well, the stock pan didn’t exactly fit on my stove. So, yeah, it didn’t turn out too good…lol.
I have been with my SO for 13 years. We are that couple that is so comfortable with each other that nothing fazes them. Nothing.
I have 2 cats that we rescued from a free Craiglist post. I had seen the post on Craigslist (it was for 1 kitten), contacted the woman and sent my SO to get her. He came home with two. He said he couldn’t leave them for bad guys (aka people who would harm or kill them) to get them. We are not sure about the breed. When we got them spayed, the woman seemed to think that they are a Maine Coon/Siamese mix. Considering the size of my girls (at 10 months, they are bigger than the average cat) and that they are both vocal, I believe that.
So that’s me. Hope you enjoy the blog!!
