Hi, all!!! I’m Jolie. Mom of 3 kids and book reviewer extraordinaire!!! Why don’t I introduce my kids? Because they are the reason I am the sarcastic, slightly paranoid, jumpy person that I am today….lol.
B is 11. She used to be hell on wheels and has calmed down in her advanced age. She has ADHD combined type and anxiety with OCD tendencies. She absolutely loves cats, beta fish, watching YouTube videos (Minecraft/Shopkins/Roblox), cooking, playing Minecraft/Roblox on the Xbox, watching Finding Bigfoot (she is a huge fan of the show) and Pet Vet on Amazon Prime, hanging out with her friends and just being a normal tween girl….complete with that lovely tween attitude. She is in 5th grade this year and is nervous/excited about this being her last year of elementary school. Middle school is going to be a whole new adventure for her.
Z is 9. He is very laid back and is somewhat of a dreamer. Z has ADD. He has an awesome imagination and loves playing with his army/action figures and making them go on adventures. He also loves to read and The Harry Potter series are his favorites to read. He also likes The Magic Tree House and he loves nonfiction. He is also a video game/Kindle junkie. His favorite games are 7 Days To Die, Minecraft, Shadow Fighter 2 and Fallout Shelter. He watches YouTube videos…mostly about Minecraft and he follows a few gamer vloggers.
R is going to be 3. She is very sassy…..very sassy and it does get her in trouble at times. She is also a very sweet, loving girl. Her imagination is just like Z’s, excellent. She is a girlie girl, loving her babies and dresses. She can also be very rough and tumble too and can hold her own with her older brother and sister. She also loves her Kindle, but not like her older sister and brother, and she absolutely loves to watch TV. Her favorite channel is Nick Jr/Disney Jr and her favorite shows are Elena of Avalor, Sophia the First, Ben and Holly, Little Charmers, Bubble Guppies and Team Umizoomi. She will be starting preschool in September and I am still in shock that she is old enough to be starting preschool.
We moved from seacoast MA (North Shore area) to Appalachian North Carolina. I will admit that I suffered culture shock when moving down here. The way of life is slower here and I like that. What took me a long time to get used to was not being able to drive to the beach. Where I lived in MA, the ocean was 10 mins away. Here, you have to drive 4 1/2 hours. I will admit, I miss it but the landscape around here more than makes up for it. I mean, I can see the mountains (we are less than an hour from them) from my back deck. Plus, there are lakes and rivers we can swim in…..if we want.
I am a bookworm and I am not ashamed to admit it. I always have my Kindle with me. I do prefer the written world to the real world sometimes. No shame in admitting that.
Enjoy the blog!!!
