Before I do my review, I have to put up this disclaimer: I received these items for a highly discounted price through Tomoson and LAST MAN Survival Gear. Any and all opinions expressed in this review are mine and mine alone. I received no financial compensation for this review. At the end of the review, I will include links to Amazon if you are interested in buying the eggs. Now onto the review:
When I first applied for this review, I was a little skeptical about how it was going to go or what is going to actually going to be in the eggs. Actually a little skeptical is understating it. So, I was very pleasantly surprised when I got the package from UPS and opened it.
I will have to say this, the plastic on the outside of the egg was very hard to get off. I did look for a perforation in the plastic….but didn’t see it. Doesn’t mean that it was there, though. I ended up ripping off the paper on the bottom of the egg and proceeded to open it from there.
Each egg had one cookie, a sticker and a small prize in it. The Darth Vader egg had a Darth Vader sticker, a cookie and one of those plastic hand-held mazes (the kind the dentist would give out). The Yoda egg had a Hans Solo sticker, a cookie and 3D Emperor Palpatine sticker. The Storm Trooper egg had a Star Wars eraser (black with Star Wars in white written on it), a cookie and a Princess Leia sticker.
I was very surprised about the prizes in the eggs. I was expecting them to be a little more cheap. But they weren’t….which is a good thing.
When Z came home, I gave him the eggs. He opened them and all I heard (I was making supper) was “Cool!!” “Hans Solo rocks!!!!” “A 3D sticker. Awesome!!!!!” and the crackling of wrappers being opened and cookies being eaten.
So, it is safe to say that my almost 8-year-old son loves them. He even asked for more for Christmas and gave me directions to get a “Boba Fet” and a “Princess Leia” and a “Luke Skywalker” egg.
In conclusion, I will be buying these eggs again. While they are tricky to open but using scissors can help with that. I also would not give these to children under 3 or children who have a habit of putting things in their mouths. The eraser and the maze was small and could be a choking hazard.
Would I recommend these to family and friends? Yes, I would.
And here is the Amazon link that I promised:
